Making a Difference
At Jump Start we work with students as part of a blended approach to education, including those on roll in mainstream school, specialist provision or between school placements. Our part-time support service aims to complement schools academic work with our vocational and activity-based curriculum that engages with students, that focuses on well-being and self-esteem building interventions.
Our vocational alternative provision is designed to give young people a fresh start and a clear direction.

Qualifications
We offer industry-recognised mechanics qualifications through the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), as well as NCFE Occupational Studies in Construction, Mechanics, Sport, Joinery, Hospitality and Employability.
These hands-on courses allow students to gain nationally recognised qualifications while developing practical, transferable skills.

Learning
With small group learning, dedicated industry-qualified tutors, and experienced SEND and SEMH staff, students receive the structure, encouragement, and understanding they need to succeed.
Every learner benefits from a bespoke timetable tailored to their goals and needs, alongside Post-16 support for Year 11 students to ensure positive next steps into further education, training, or employment.
We focus on building skills, confidence, and aspiration — creating pathways that lead to real opportunities.
